Sound UK is producing a new collaborative commission for Nature Calling - a ground-breaking £2M National Landscapes Art Programme - working with 3 brilliant artists.
View In View Out (VIVO) is a collaboration between composer/lyricist Gwyneth Herbert, sound artist Jason Singh and nature documentary maker Chris Howard.
Together we will be working to connect with communities in Weston-Super-Mare and the Mendip Hills National Landscape (working alongside Weston-Super-Mare's Super Culture) to create a multi-disciplinary commission of lyrics, songs and sound recordings based in the town and the landscape.
In July, VIVO will be presented as an immersive sound installation and audio trail, looking to honour the many layers of land, nature, people and story that make up the Mendip Hills National Landscape.
The programme is funded by Arts Council England, the Department for Environment, Farming and Rural Affairs (Defra) and National Landscapes in England.
